Sri Lanka Series Will See Dravid and Yuvraj Making a Return to the Indian Team
Left out of the Indian squad for the Asia Cup, Yuvraj Singh made a speedy re-entry, with being named in the 15-man group that will travel to Sri Lanka to play three Test matches, early in the subsequent month.
The Punjabi left-hander had been left out of the ODI squad, so as to give him time to sort out health problems and as well think hard about the kind of attitude, with which he plays the game.
Yuvraj’s return was Rohit Sharma’s loss at entering the squad, who has shown form and accumulated runs in the most recent outings, and also S Badrinath, who was part of the squad the last time, when they played South Africa at home in the month of February.
Test specialists, Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman return, as does Sachin Tendulkar, who took a break from ODI cricket to get back in required form and spend time with his family in advance of the hectic season.
Zaheer Khan will lead the speed attack, with Ishant Sharma and Sreesanth, neither at their finest, for Company.
Suresh Raina, who in recent times led the ODI squad in Zimbabwe in the absence of several rested senior players, is in the Test squad whilst wicketkeeper batsman, Dinesh Karthik was not noticed in place of Bengal’s Wriddhiman Saha.
