Government to justify petrol prices hike

This Sunday, the government has published a big advertisement in the newspaper trailing that a small price to pay today, for a better tomorrow, which justifies the hike in fuel prices, recently.

The petrol price hike has already given way to the protests and demonstrations led by the ruling alliance partners and the opposition parties.

However the group of Ministers nodded on Friday upon the soaring prices going out of control paving way to the inclination in the prices of petrol at least Rs.3.50 per litre almost in every metro city. Further the government hiked the prices of diesel by Rs.2 a litre, kerosene by Rs.3 a litre and cooking gas by Rs.35 per cylinder.

Amidst the ongoing price turmoil, the government on Sunday, run a more than half-page advertisement in some of the national papers, initiated by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.

Although bringing a price hike in petrol, it is in news that, the government shall bear the burden of Rs.53,000 crore during the year.
