Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan possesses a dynamic personality of being a producer, director, actor and a lot many. He never stops experimenting something new with his films. The perfectionist actor strongly believes that acting is lot more than the known faces in the line.

The art of acting can't be fully defined by a small section of artistes though there are many who are neglected for no reason. This very realization of Aamir allows him to concentrate on the well prepared stage artistes for his home production "Peepli Live".

Peepli Live, produced by Aamir and his wife Kiran Rao, directed by debutante Anusha Rizvi, has a star cast of all stage artistes graduated from the late Habib Tanvir's Naya Theatre.

All the artistes belong to the interiors of Madhya Pradesh and well trained in their fields. Aamir is taking keen interest in them and hopes the fresh and seasoned star cast will do wonders with the characters in the movie.

The script of the film moves around the deep sufferings of farmers which even force them to commit suicides at some stages of their lives. The film is the possible most presentation of this tragic issue in both realistic and entertaining way.
