The hotel industry in India is much less talked upon, but if assessed carefully, then it is one of the most promising industries in the country. The Indian hotels are proving to be the best across the globe, which is therefore, gaining huge success for them.

The world's best hotel is the Vanyavilas, which is a little luxury resort near Ranthambhore in Rajasthan and is run by the Oberoi. Travel & Leisure magazine has attributed this position to Vanyavilas, who has a list of numerous top hotels in the world each year.

Indian hotels have been reaching the top of this list many a times. It was in the year 2007 also, that another Oberoi property called Udaivilas, in Jaipur, had bagged the position of top most hotels in the world.

On the other hand, it had been argued by Hotel Western hoteliers that there is an unfair advantage for the Asian hotels, at the time of ratings. In Europe or America, the wages of the labors are too high, as compared to those in Asia.

Thus, more staff members are hired by these Asian hotels to look after each guest, which cannot be afforded by hotels in Europe or America. So it is seen that world's top luxury hotel chains are all Asian-anchored, like Mandarin Oriental, Peninsula, Aman and Shangri -La.
