Facebook Gift cards on sale
Facebook has agreed upon a deal with Malaysian payment technology company MOL Global, to offer Facebook Credit gift cards in MOL's network at all retail outlets.
It is supposed that the service will be supported by MOL's AccessPortal, which soon shall be available across all 500,000 MOL retail stores in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, India, Australia, and New Zealand, Facebook as reported by blog AllFacebook.
The report states that users can make use of the Facebook Credits as virtual money on the social network to purchase applications and games.
Facebook on the other hand claims it to be a strategy that will help encourage developers and websites to create more content for the platform.
Vaughan Smith, the director of business development in Facebook stated: "What we want to do is create a virtual currency which makes it very simple and straightforward for our users to buy services when they are using games and services on Facebook," reports news agency AFP.
