Karthik Shankar leads in the Round-II of Polo Cup
After two rounds and four races of Polo Cup India 2010, Karthik Shankar from Hyderabad emerged as the leader in the Championship standings in the Polo Cup that was started by Volkswagen India a couple of months back in the domestic circuit.
While the tournament has been able to bring a lot of fame to the door of Shankar, there is no denying to the fact that it has also resulted in creating a very high awareness for the hatchback from Volkswagen - Polo.
Be it the street track in Pune or the race track in Coimbatore, Shankar displayed some amazing skills to reach the top of the charts in the Polo Cup so far.
However, he is just seven points ahead of Vishnu Prasad, who is currently at the second spot. K K Swamy, Vice President and Managing Director Volkswagen India said that it is indeed very thrilling for him to see the car that is made for the streets to perform in a racing tournament.
It is to be mentioned here that the 3rd round of this tournament will be held in August, with the qualifying round on August 28 and Race day (2 races) on August 29 at the Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore.
