After winning loads of accolade for his national award winning performance in Fashion, the desi girl- Priyanka Chopra is gearing up for her next excellent performance.

The former Miss world has chosen the female lead in Anurag Basu's Kishore Kumar biopic Silence. This calls for a shot as this is the role that is supposedly to be the weaker female lead role in the movie as many actresses like Asin and Katrina Kaif have said a 'no' to the role.

Interestingly initially Asin was approached to play the role but after the Tollywood actress rejected the role, it went to Katrina Kaif who also showed a red signal to it. And the reason for their rejection was that the leading ladies found that Priyanka's role was better of then their role in the movie.

As to no way out, the movie witnessed a delay of almost 6 months.

But what came to the rescue was Piggy Chops decision of selecting the less meaty role making the other casting of the movie easier for the director.

As a source close to Priyanka revealed that the actress is so passionate about her work that she would not even mind swapping her role if it benefits the project.
