Tendulkar rested and Yuvi dropped for Asia Cup
Indian experienced batsman Sachin Tendulkar has requested the Indian cricket board not to consider him for Asia Cup to be held in Sri Lanka. He has decided to spend time with his family. BCCI has accepted his request and he will be rested for the upcoming tournament. Sachin Tendulkar has not played for India since February 24.
On that day only he had hit a remarkable double-century in a one-day international against South Africa. After that he has not played any ODI.
The selectors have also decided to drop left-handed batsman Yuvraj Singh from the tour. Yuvraj Singh has scored just 74 runs in five matches in the World Twenty20 in the Caribbean, where Indian Team failed to make into the semi-finals. He is now dealing with very poor form.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been announced as the skipper of Indian team in the four nation limited overs tournament which will be held from June 15 to 24 in Dambulla.
The other three nations are Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
