Team for Asia Cup has been announced
BCCI selection committee has announced the fifteen member team for the upcoming four nation limited overs tournament, Asia Cup to be held in Sri Lanka in this month. The selectors have included the senior players for the tournament those who have been rested for the Zimbabwe tri nation series.
India has sent its young team lead by Suresh Raina for the tour but the team has produced a disappointing result.
The inexperience team has been defeated by Zimbabwe twice and failed to qualify for the finals.
But now the old team is back. The selectors have announced that Mahendra Singh Dhoni will lead the team for the tour. Virender Sehwag has been declared as the vice-captain of the team.
Sachin Tendulkar has been rested for the tournament while the selectors have axed left handed batsman Yuvraj Singh. Saurabh Tiwary has been the new face in the team.
Indian squad for Asia Cup is consisting of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, Harbhajan Singh, Praveen Kumar, Zaheer Khan, Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja, Ashish Nehra, Saurabh Tiwary, Pragyan Ojha, Ashok Dinda and Ravichandran Ashwin.
