Salman Khan fans who adore him for his six pack look may get unhappy, as he will shed the abs for his latest movie 'Dabangg', according to a recent buzz from the film industry. His brother, Arbaaz Khan, who is also the producer with 'Dabangg', asked Salman to reduce his weight. The lead actors of the film include Salman and Sonakshi Sinha, Shatrughan Sinha's daughter.

Arbaaz Khan Productions 'Dabangg' is set to release in the month of September along with another flick 'We Are Family'. As Salman was given the role of a Bihari police officer, he had to lose his macho frame and to make his body suitable for adopting a character of a pan-chewing Bihari cop.

Dabangg depicts the illegal practices being followed by corrupt officials in the regions of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. Salman is also playing the role of a corrupt police man.

Sonakshi, his co-actor, said, "It was not that I was lazy or something but I always need someone to motivate me. Salman did that and we used to do weights together".

He helped her in losing weight, while the shooting was going on. He also kept a check on her diet habits and let her eat only fat free food.
