Anurag Kashyap is flying in the air after he heard the news that his thriller movie ‘That Girl in Yellow Boots’ will be screened in the Venice Film Festival. Anurag Kashyap, a film maker and National Film Development Corporation of India (NFDC) the co- producer of the film have been shortlisted for the esteemed 67th Venice Film Festival.

The film will be showcased under Out-of-Competition section at this year’s Venice Film Festival. The Venice Film Festival will begin from 1st September and will end on 11th September at Venice Lido.

Approaching Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) will also screened ‘‘That Girl in Yellow Boots’ movie and the film will be premiered in North America under special presentations.

The film ‘That in Yellow Boots’ is a story of a girl searching for her father whom she hardly knew but cannot forget. The girl Character Ruth is played by Kalki Koechlin, whose circumstances forced her to work in a massage parlor.

She is splitted between so many tracks including a new place like Mumbai in which she has to continue her search for her father. She also got stuck in the complicated politics, she also faced betrayal in love and above all she has to face a truth that everyone wants a piece of her.

The other characters are played by Naseeruddin Shah, Prashant Prakash, Gulshan Devaiya, Shivkumar Subramaniam, Divya Jagdale, Kumud Mishra and Kartik Krishnan.

The film is written by Anurag Kashyap and Kalki Koechlin, while the music is directed by Naren Chandavarkar and Rajeev Ravi is the cinematographer.

Anurag Kashyap is delighted with this honor and said that he is feeling on the top of this world and he is thankful to NFDC for helping him to drag the project out of post production midpoint and completing it.
