Kamal Haasan Makes his Malayalam Comeback
The famous actor Kamal Haasan, respected among the legends of our film industry, specifically the south Indian cinema, is reported to make his comeback in Malayalam.
The star will be seen in his cameo appearance in the movie Four Friends, nearly after a complete absence of more than two decades from the industry. Kamal was last witnessed in a Malayalam film Vritham released in 1982, hailing I. V. Sasi, as its director.
However, there were news that Kamal was in talks to work in a Malayalam movie with Mohanlal during Unnaipol Oruvan days, but it failed to work out.
The flick director Saji Surendran is reported to feature Jayaram, Kunchacko Boban, Jayasurya and Meera Jasmine.
"Kamal sir liked the script and situation and immediately agreed to do this cameo. His character is the catalyst who appears in the turning point and very crucial to the story", quoted, Saji Surendran.
Kamal Haasan witnessed his career initiation in Malayalam with K S Sethumadhavan's Kanyakumari. The actor hails his huge fan following during his younger days and has been very keen for the language.
Besides Kamal, his best friend Jayaram from the Malayalam industry is playing the role of the lead hero in the flick. The whole movie has been shot in Chennai.
