Kajol has two reasons to celebrate the day; one of course, is because it is her birthday and the other one, since she is expecting her second child. So, her family planned to perform the ‘godh bharai’ ceremony too.

Tanuja, Kajol’s mom and her in-laws planned to have a joint celebration on the same day as her birthday.

Only close family members and friends would be present at the customary celebration of ‘dhole ceremony’.

This ceremony is carried out in order to mark the seventh month of pregnancy. Tanishaa, Kajol’s younger sister said that the day was appropriate to have double celebration with near and dear ones.

The ceremony would take place after traditional lunch episode, again to be attended by family members. Tanuja was born to Marathi family so it is quite obvious that the two daughters would follow customs according to the Marathis.

Tanishaa informed that following the customs, Tanuja would offer a saree to Kajol and then would perform a puja.

Along with that, special food would be cooked by their mom and Kajol will don a traditional dress.

For the birthday celebration, traditional custom of cake cutting would also be followed, and the cake would be prepared specially by the sister of the birthday girl.
