MS Dhoni Loses his Temper over Wet Practice Pitch

Submitted by Satish Goel on Sun, 08/15/2010 - 07:52

After a huge loss to New Zealand, the Indian cricket team has once again returned to its pitch to continue with its further practice sessions. But in the very first session, skipper MS Dhoni freaked out his anger while Dinesh Karthik injured his right thumb during his batting in the nets, which was supposed to be a really dangerous anecdote.

This practice was taking place at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium. The pitch was moist and covered with rough layers of grass when the players came at around 10 a. m. Because of it, the ball was either stopping or was rising high in unplayable manner.

This drama ended when Karthik was trying to repel one such balling, but instead hurt himself badly in doing so, and his thumb swelled immediately. But, that wasn’t all. After this, Dhoni walked out of the nets and started to practice fielding. Both skipper and the Indian coach, Gary Kirsten, were upset because of this uncomfortable session.

Dhoni, after this, lost his temper and complaint that why the practice wicket couldn’t be prepared in six days. He showed his disgust over the wet pitch, due to which there practice session went abruptly.

On the other hand, Karthik, about his injury, said, “I don't know if it's okay, let's wait and see”.
