Lodha’s Planning to Build World’s Tallest Tower in Mumbai

Realty major, Lodha Developers are planning to construct 117 storeys building in Central Mumbai, which will be the world's tallest tower. The project will cost them Rs. 2,000-crore and will be ready by the year 2014.

New York-based architectural firm, Pei Cobb Freed and Partners and structural engineering firm, LERA is in joint venture with Lodha Developers for completing the project, which has been named as World One and it will constructed over 17 acres at Upper Worli.

"The project pegged at Rs. 2,000-crore and to be built on a 17-acre site will have the world's tallest residential tower," said Lodha Group's Managing Director, Abhisheck Lodha. The project has been planned in such a way that it will not only gain from Mumbai's energy but would also help the city to look clean and beautiful.

The Company is looking forward to bestow Mumbai, a hallmark, which in future would prove to be the spirit of Mumbai. The project will be completed through the partnership with global architects, designers and engineers.

In next few months, construction work will be started. The Company expects to roll out sales of about Rs. 5000 crore and 300 residential apartments from this plan. To buy the plot of land in the central Mumbai, Lodha remunerated more than twice the price of plot, which was the biggest land transaction in the city.
