Figo bookings close to 40K
There is no denying the fact that the Figo has been a volume puller for Ford in the Indian market. In fact, it has been just a span of 25 weeks that the company has launched the product in the Indian market but it has got an overwhelming response from the Indian consumer and hence, has received close to 34K bookings so far.
It is believed that as the product is made keeping in mind the driver's comfort, it is rightfully catching the fancy of the Indian consumer. Ford India President and Managing Director Michael Boneham said that the company is very excited about the success of the Figo in the Indian market and as it has been received very well in the overseas markets as well, the company will now be hands-on as far as its export plans are concerned.
It may be noted here that the next milestone in sight for the product seems to be the 40K mark after the company will target the prestigious 50K mark in the domestic circuit.
Figo has been a major hurdle for players like Maruti and Hyundai who have ruled the Indian small car segment for many years in the past.
