Maruti to help Suzuki Motorcycle
It has been many years since Suzuki parted its ways with TVS Motors in the two-wheeler space but the fact of the matter is since the point of time it has come out alone in the Indian market, it has not been able to make an impact on the minds of the Indian consumer.
However, its sister concern, Maruti Suzuki has now decided to source commodities for the company which will help it expand its operations in India while keeping its costs down. The VP for marketing & Sales of Suzuki Motorcycles, Atul Gupta has recently said that Maruti Suzuki will supply the necessary parts to ensure that it is able to limit the costs to an extent.
There is no denying that Suzuki is still a very small player in the Indian market with just a 1.8% market share but it is expected that the after the company will double its capacity in the Indian market to 5.4 lakh units per year, it will be able to gain a decent position in the two-wheeler industry.
Moreover, the company is also planning to launch an entry level motorcycle which will help it gain high volumes.
