'Dabaang' producer getting smacked by Zandu balm

Bollywood fans may be moving ga-ga over the item song 'Munni badnaam' however the roping in of 'zandu balm' in the lines is giving a headache to Zandu Pharmaceuticals.

The firm has thronged a notice to Arbaaz Khan Productions Private Limited on making use of Zandu balm name in the song munni badnaam. Emami asserts that it is the exclusive copyright of not just the product but also the name 'zandu balm' and the group alleges that the product name was roped in without their permission.

The company has posed question to the producers to pull out the song or alter the name of the product from it. The movie casts Salman Khan in the Bollywood chartbuster Dabangg, which has now faced legal impediment on its hit item number Munni Badnaam. The Zandu Pharmaceuticals has dole out a legal notification to Arbaaz Khan Productions Private Ltd on the usage of word Zandu Balm in the gross item song.

The pharmaceutical group has inquired the producer Arbaaz Khan to eliminate the word Zandu Balm or obliterate the song from the movie, asserting the sole copyright of product and name.

The group has also warned to get legal step after making a fault to do so. The Zandu Pharmaceuticals expressed that the name of its product was utilized in the song without consent.
