According to the recent reports released by the market research firm Nielsen, it is claimed that iPhone scores well above the Android players.

The reports further highlights that smartphone database has increased from 16 percent to 23 percent of overall mobile consumers over the years.

RIM remains the market leader with a massive 35 percent market share, but quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) the OS platform of the same has lost 2 percent share. Apple iPhone secures the second position with 28 percent, and also a strong 2 percent gain in QoQ.
