Leading FMCG player of the country Godrej is looking forward to enter into the chocolate business. It has announced its joint venture with a US-based firm Hershey. Now Godrej has decided to enhance its product line with some extra offering in the domestic market.

Last week, the company had finalized a deal with a hair color company from Argentina.

Now it is eyeing on separate chocolate business. The deal for this joint venture is almost through.

Both Godrej and the foreign company Hershey will sell food and confectionery items in India. The Indian Inc. Godrej will hold 49% of the stake in the new venture while the remaining is held by Hershey, the American company.

Chairman of Godrej Industries Ltd., Mr. Adi Godrej has informed that the new venture, Godrej Hershey has planned to come up with chocolate products.

Chocolate is the main business of Hershey and it has been a global player of this product. As per Mr. Godrej, Hershey has been remarkable in chocolate products in all across the world.
