Film review of ‘Mylari’
People often have the urge to go to a theatre and watch films that revolve around common men, their life and aspirations, and the many difficulties they face in fulfilling those aspirations.
Mylari is one of those movies about a common man. It does not have any very glamorous lifestyle to boast of. Nor does it try to imitate the Gen Next Bollywood films. Mylari is more of a rustic film full of emotions, much like the classic and vintage Shivarajkumar films.
The film revolves around Mylari, a boy born in a lower middle class rural family. Mylari’s dad wants him to do well in his studies and become a police officer. However, the boy has poetic goals and wants to become a famous literary personality in Bangalore. He even falls head over heels in love with the village landlord’s daughter.
The film includes all the family sentiments and emotions. It also has quite a big dose of the underworld along with some peppy song sequences. Such are the usual ingredients of a Shivarajkumar film.
The film also starts Sadaa as our hero’s ladylove who has been given a relatively limited role.
