Wholesale inventories rise in US
For the month of April, the inventories in US rose. It was for the fourth month in a row that the increase took place.
There was a 0.7 per cent gain in the valuation of the stockpiles which was 0.7 per cent higher than the previous month, after revision.
This is good sign that means that the sales are jumping which are supported by demand increase.
The Commerce Department also said in its estimates that the sales at the distributors end increased by 0.7 per cent. For the month of March, the rise was 2.6 per cent.
The data also showed that the on hand goods sales fell down to its lowest level on record. This means that the companies can expect the demand to get bigger and better and will thus increase their production.
The production gains, it is said by experts, will be extended to the stakeholders in the coming months.
Experts believe that this high inventory was the reason for which the demand and thus the production levels increase in hard times as well.
But fears are that there is pretty high tightness and that could hamper the growth.
