Sony looks at doubling sales of its notebooks
It has been predicted that the consumer notebook sales in India may touch 5 lakh units by the month of June next fiscal year. Indian notebook market is growing with an enormous speed. Now Sony has anticipating doubling its sales figure this period of time.
The electronics major, Sony Electronics is looking forward to post an impressive two fold sales figure in coming quarters. A top official has informed that the company is eyeing to get sales of Rs 1,000 crore in the fiscal year 2010.
Managing Director of Sony India, Masaru Tamagawa has informed to the media that, there has been a rapid growth in the consumer notebook segment.
The consumer notebook segment includes laptops, netbooks, pocket PCs etc. He has anticipated that this growth in demand can help his firm to register a striking sales figure this time. As per Tamagawa, the company is looking to sale 2.5 lakh units of its product in this financial year.
Moreover, the firm is keen on achieving a market share of 20% in the consumer notebook segment in India.
