Brown-Forman's Q4 results hit by high costs
Brown-Forman, the liquor company said that its results during the fourth quarter were lowered because of the high expenses that it had to face during this time.
It also said that sales too have declined during the period, putting heavy pressure on the financials. The bars and the restaurants, places through which maximum of the sales take place, watered down the brand Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey.
Income of the company fell down by 9 per cent during the period.
As the economy struggled, the consumers went for less expensive brands and to be able to reduce, this company went for higher number of advertisements. But that increased the costs.
But if the word of Don Breg, Chief Financial Officer of the company is to be believed then the "on premise" consumption is showing renewal.
The increase in employment will also greatly boost this trend.
The spirit seller also said that it is now going in for new packaging and it is also extending its line. Now, more and more overseas market will be sought at for being able to revive the Jack Daniel brand.
