Raana, starring Deepika Padukone and Rajnikanth will start its shooting by March as its pre-production work is progressing very fast. With this venture Deepika will make her entry in Kollywood.

Raana will be directed by KS Ravikumar and produced by his daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth.

It has been officially announced that Deepika Padukone will play the female lead in Raana opposite superstar Rajnikanth.

Deepika has made her debut in Bollywood with Superstar Shahrukh Khan and since then she has not looked behind. And she is ready to sizzle Kollywood by acting opposite Rajnikanth!

The film will be released in three languages, Hindi, Telugu and Tamil and the music of the film will be composed by A. R. Rahman.

Sources reveal that on January 25, it was speculated that Deepika would be acting opposite Rajni in the film, Raana. But later on it was made official that Deepika Padukone will be working with superstar Rajni. She had made her own identity in Bollywood and worked with many great actors and what better can come her way to act opposite Rajnikanth, the God of Kollywood.
