Soon, the days will be gone when the consumer needs to book Tata Nano months and years in advance. The product will be available without waiting period by August-September this year.

Manoj Arora, Senior Manager, Tata Motors said that the consumer will be able to just come and drive with the Tata Nano out of the Showrooms by August-September this year.

Notably, after the Sanand plant has started production, it is expected that the company will be able to scale up the production of Nano in the domestic market. It may be noted here that the company had taken bookings for only
1.55 lakh units through a lottery after the Nano was launched on March 23, 2009.

And out of the total booking the company had kept one lakh units on a price protected basis wherein the deliveries will be finalized by the end of this year.

In fact, its production at Pantnagar unit is just limited and hence the company was facing issues with the rising demand for the product. However, with the Sanand plant getting operational; it is believed that it will solve many problems for the company in the domestic circuit.
