Preeti Desai, the first coloured winner of the Miss Great Britain pageant has made her entry in B-town. Earlier she was running a hair salon, and then she became the first to be Miss Great Britain.

In the year 2006 she had won Miss UK pageant after the original winner Danniele Lloyd, was exposed of her crown along with allegations that the competition was fixed.

Preeti is making her debut with the film ‘Shor In The City’. The model now desires to sing and dance to make her fame.

She has said that she has passed her childhood by watching Aamir and Shah Rukh serenade heroines around trees and is not hesitant to the 'masala' type at all.

She has watched all those and now she is also quite free to follow the same. The new comer has said that her first priority is a good script and a good director. If she gets the project which has both the quality she is ready to dance around trees without any problem.

In the movie ‘Shor In The City’ she plays Shyamili, a model who introduces `Heroes` star Senthil Ramamurthy to the city of Mumbai. The movie is going to release on this Friday.
