Tanishq to rise in coming years, expects Titan   The leading watches and eyewear major, Titan has expected that Tanishq, its jewellery retail business, would rise between 25% and 30% annually in coming five years depending on domestic demand.

CK Venkatraman, chief operating officer, jewellery division, Titan has stated that Tanishq has been growing at 30-40% over the last decade.

The sales of Titan in last financial year grew over 39% at Rs6, 570.86 crore. The growth of the jewellery business was 43%, contributing to 76% to the top line.

On the other hand the watch business grew 23% less than jewellery business and contributed Rs1, 266.46 crore.

Tanishq has launched two stores in the US in the year 2008 so as to target design-conscious Americans, but these were unable to run in the market and were shut down.

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has worked in the recent ad of Tanishq with his wife Jaya Bachchan. Big B wishes to work with his wife in the films.

After 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham' they couple has worked together for the first time for the Ad.
