Submitted by Gurpreet Sekhon on Wed, 05/04/2011 - 01:54

Bollywood Actor Shiney Ahuja who was charged in the notorious rape case, has been released on the bail. The Bombay High Court has given him bail. The actor was accused in raping his maid and was arrested in June 2009. In the judgement the actor was jailed for seven years. But after appealing by the actor the court has bailed him.

During the investigation of this case the actor maintained his innocence and later he was found guilty by a special court. After few months of his jail, he was granted the bail with the warning to be away from Mumbai.

On Tuesday he was again bailed from the Arthur Road jail in Mumbai. This time he was in the jail for more than one month. After coming out from the jail he hugged his wife, Anupam and thanked God for his bail.

He was accused in the rape case and the Sewri fast track sessions court had on March 30 sentenced him to seven years' imprisonment. And finally Shiney has shifted to his same flat.
