It’s all in the Blood; Shahid Kapoor
Sporting a clean-shaven look, Shahid Kapoor happened to shock everyone in Edinburgh, everyone on the first day of the Mausam shoot.
While Shahid had primarily grown a beard for the film, but it was just that the crew of his new film somehow sensed that the youngsters of today liked him more in the clean-shaven look. Not to mention, when we have someone as cute as Shahid, who can win hearts with a smile then why not try a look without the facial fuzz.
The ritual of facial hair has recently turned out to be dodgy, Hrithik Roshan did it for Kites, the movie tanked, Ranbir Kapoor’s handsome sardar act in beard for ‘Rocket Singh’ couldn’t win viewers’ hearts, and Aamir Khan’s perfection couldn’t save ‘Mangal Pandey’ to fall like ninepins at the Box Office.
Sonam Kapoor, his heroine in the film, anyhow loves his beardless look and has even accoladed him. It won’t be wrong to say that it’s all in the blood, because it seems that Shahid’s dad, Pankaj Kapoor won his heart by his comedy act in “Happi”.
Pankaj Kapoor has been a great teacher for Shahid. He has learnt the basic and the best lessons of acting from his dad. Especially, when the mentor performs; it is more than enthralling for the student.
Shahid tweeted on the micro blogging site Twitter "Saw some footage of dad's next as an actor called 'Happi... Just stunned with what I saw... Amazed at how he creates a new person with every role he does”.
He further added saying that he feels like he’s being looked after by his dad... No better feeling both as an actor and a son.
