L&T bags Rs 747 crore orders

Engineering major Larsen & Toubro has announced that it has received orders worth Rs 747 crore for this financial year.

These orders are from Coal India, Hindalco Industries and Indiabulls Power for various construction related works in the country. This has been informed by one of the top officials of the company. He has informed that the construction division of the company has received the first order from Coal India.

The value of the order was Rs 276 crore and the area of the project is in Madhya Pradesh. This has been informed by Larsen & Toubro in a filing at the Bombay Stock Exchange as well.

After the announcement the stock price of Larsen & Toubro has registered a sharp rise in BSE. There was almost a hike of 1.11% in its share prices on the day of announcement.

The company has received its second order Indiabulls Power. The value of this order is Rs 260 crore. This order is to supply and erection of coal handling plants in Maharashtra. Another order it has received from Hindalco Industries worth Rs 211 crore.
