The India Meteorology Department (IMD) said that Pune will be visited by Monsoon in coming 48 hrs.

The Southwest monsoon has finally stepped in Maharashtra on Thursday and it is likely to reach Pune and Mumbai in next two days.

Although monsoon has been three days behind the schedule but had already reached Ratnagiri and is constantly moving towards Pune and Mumbai, said by Medha Khole, director (weather forecasting), IMD, the monsoon.

Besides its delay, several parts of Pune received thunderstorms on Thursday for a little while.

BP Yadav, director at IMD said that fall in the rainfall recorded is just 6% which does not indicate bad monsoon. In fact, this year all the conditions are in favor to cherish good monsoon.

Arvind Mahajan, partner at KPMG said that last year business were strongly and largely effected by drought which had resulted in rise in prices but this year a good monsoon is expected which will brought the prices at a level and will also helps the economy to grow.
