Motorola's 2GHz Android Phone To Enter Market Before Year End

Submitted by Garima Pathak on Sun, 06/13/2010 - 08:27

Motorola CEO, Sanjay Jha is reported to have unveiled the company plans concerning a 2GHz Android smartphone during a presentation in Chicago this week.
The super-powered phone is revealed to enter the market before the year's end.

A 2GHz chip will be Motorola's new Android phone boosting double processing power of any smartphone available today.
Jha, according to widely cited reports, augured that those conventional mobile computers now posses only a few more years for sustenance as competition seem to soar rapidly in this corporate environment.

The device would enable users to have a much faster access to information. The added processing speed would add to easy and fast multitasking of enterprise-oriented applications, including resource-heavy programs such as remote desktop utilities and video conferencing modes.

However, the detailed specs of Motorola's 2GHz Android phone haven't been unveiled, but rumors are on a high, suggesting that the device could feature Nvidia Tegra-based graphics processor, equipped with a full Flash 10.1 hardware acceleration.

In addition, it is speculated that it will possess a high-definition display and support for 720p video output.

Additional features for the device includes auto-account-discovery and calendar sync for Exchange and global address sheet look-up within the phone-based e-mail application.
