Honda witnesses another fall
Dealing with factors like the ageing portfolio and rising competition, Honda SIEL has witnessed another dip in its monthly unit sales in the Indian market.
Notably, the company sold close to 4,067 units during the month of May 2010 which is marginally down as compared to the 4,073 units that the company sold during the corresponding month last year.
In fact, by looking at the model break-up of the company, one will understand that the company has sold around 205 units of the Jazz, 3121 units of the best-selling City, 533 units of the premium sedan Civic, 173 units of Accord and
35 CR-Vs in the Indian market in the month of May 2010.
While the falling unit sales of the Jazz have reaffirmed the belief of the Indian consumer being very price conscious and coupled with ageing City and Civic models, the company has surely been struggling to stay as the apple of the eye of the Indian consumer.
