Lawyers demand a confession from file sharers
Lawyers are devising new ways to scare the internet users, the recent being used by ACS law firm.
According to the past history, law firms such as Davenport Lyons have put in efforts to bully the tactics of the internet users and thus making them pay for alleged illegal file sharing offences, but the recent advancement appears another method undertaken by ACS Law firm.
The firm sends past a user based questionnaire with a letter that states that the user's broadband service has been used to download or share copyrighted material, which may sound to be legal in nature.
In true sense these questionnaires are no more than phishing modes devised by the law firm.
However in this scenario the ACS law firm motives directs a broadband user to either to incriminate themselves or someone else, who is then pursued for payment.
