Tollywood Trophy Won by Nag Kings
All the members of Tollywood gathered together to raise money for a good cause. All the cine stars played cricket and there was a special name for this event Cricenema, which means the fusion of Cricket with cinema. All the stars competed for a noble cause and the event was a resounding success.
The four teams in the fray were Balayya Lions', 'Chiru Cheetahs', 'Nag Kings' and 'Venky Warriors'. All the teams were present with their brand ambassadors. All the matches were played in a friendly atmosphere at Hyderabad's Lal Bahadur Stadium.
The event was started by Tollywood legend Akkineni Nageshwara Rao. He was supported by Murali Mohan and T. Subbarami Reddy along with other cine personalities.
The opening match was contested between Balayya Lions' vs 'Venky Warriors'. Balayya were put into bat by Venky. But they had a disastrous start and only scored 59 runs.
Venky Warriors had a great start and they easily won the match by seven wickets. Adarsh was declared Man of the Match for his superb all round performance.
In the next game between Chiru Cheetahs' and 'Nag Kings', the toss was won by Kings Captain, Nagarjuna. Kings had a great start and reached a massive total of 157 runs by losing six wickets.
Cheetahs did not have a good start and were short by 12 runs and lost the match. The final match was between Kings and Venky Warriors.
In the final, Kings won the toss and chose to bowl first. The Warriors managed a score of 87 in 10 overs as rain shortened the match. Kings were able to win the match due to a great innings by opener Akhil who was declared the man of the Match and the Series.
His efforts ensured that his team, Nag Kings won the Tollywood Trophy.
