Swine flu experts of WHO found to be linked with drug companies

The scientists of WHO, who are working on swine flu vaccine are having financial ties with the drug companies. This has been found by the investigators and this issue has been a sensitive one. According to the British Medical Journal, the scientists have openly admitted their interests in other drug firms.

However, WHO has not made any statement over this issue yet. This matter came to light when the Council of Europe had criticized WHO for the lack of transparency on the handling of the disease swine flu.

Then it was been found that some of the experts are associated with the private drug companies and they may share the profit as well.

A WHO official has informed that the drug industry will not be affected by the organization's decision over swine flu. Apart from this issue, there are several other issues which are associated with the distribution of the medicine. Some of the experts are suggesting the government to go for a free distribution of the product as well.
