For the love of the small wonder
It was just a few weeks back that the country's largest home-grown automobile manufacturer, Tata motors announced that it's small car Tata Nano will be readily available after it inaugurated the Sanand unit.
However, when contacted by a host of media houses in the country, it was found that the company is rather playing safe and has denied the fact that the current bookings are open for the consumers as the auto major has to deliver the Nanos for over 1,00,000 customers.
According a dealer of the company, while the to-end model of the product is on a 15-20 days waiting, the cheapest model is readily available. The dealer also said that the company is making these cars available to the new consumers via the management quota.
Clearly, Tata Motors is trying to balance between its customers who are patiently waiting for their Nano and its new customers. Moreover, it is widely believed that as the company is in no mood to turn down the buyers of the product, it is an attempt by the company to maintain a healthy mix among the two segments.
