JD-U Conditions for Alliance; BJP Denies to Accept
The Bharatiya Janata Party has denied approving any provision from the Janata Dal-United (JD-U), in regard with keeping its leaders Narendra Modi and Varun Gandhi exempted from campaigning, at the time of assembly polls in Bihar, which are scheduled to happen later this year.
Senior BJP Leader, M Venkaiah Naidu, said, "As per media reports, about all these demands by the JD-U... Nobody has put any conditions and we will not accept any conditions set by JD-U. We will decide who will campaign in Bihar".
In the JD(U)-led Government of Bihar, BJP is its junior associate. Naidu added that BJP is upset with the Bihar Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar. A fund of Rs. 5 crore has been returned to Gujarat; whereas, he said that the money did not belong to Modi and was of the citizens of Gujarat, which was meant to be for the people of Bihar.
Rs. 5 crore had been given for help, which has been returned by Nitish Kumar on June 19. He was hurt by seeing his commercials with Gujarat Chief Minister, Narendra Modi and he spoke about the help that was provided by Gujarat, during the 2008 Kosi floods.
