Hollywood raises 1.27 million dollars for oil clean up
The stars of Hollywood such as Justin Bieber, Cameron Diaz and Robert Redford have raised over 1.27 million dollars in a telethon for the support of the clean-up efforts of the oil spill in the US Gulf coast. Several Hollywood stars turned up to appear in a TV show with the well known TV personality Larry King for a two-hour special show to help the clean up of the oil disaster.
There has been a huge mishap at the Gulf of Mexico which is now considered to be the biggest disaster in the history of US.
Ted Danson and Jenny McCarthy had also paid their donations. Renowned singer Tim McGraw also appealed for help saying that his native place Louisiana needs support at this time. Robert Redford and Cameron Diaz appealed people to contribute as much as possible for this noble reason.
Teenage singer Justin Bieber has also joined the show and appealed to the young viewers to contribute towards this big issue. The donations will be given to the charities like National Wildlife Fund, The Nature Conservancy and United Way.
