Nissan to launch Micra on 14th July

Submitted by Kulwant Kaler on Thu, 06/24/2010 - 14:34

In a press note sent to the media in the country, the Japanese auto major has announced that it will be launching the much -awaited Micra in the Indian market on the 14th of July.

In fact, the company also pointed out the fact that it has already received 1000 pre-booking for the model even before it has actually launched the product in the country. It is believed that the teaser campaign of the company has done the trick.

Before the company announced that it will rope in Ranbir Kapoor as its brand ambassador, the product was able to bank close to 400 orders in the past six weeks but as soon as the campaign hit the idiot box the company got another 600 booking in the past two weeks.

It is believed that Nissan's wholly-owned subsidiary, Nissan Motor India is in no mood to stay as an underdog in the Indian market and is all set to grab the mind space of the Indian consumer.

It is believed that the Micra will compete with products like Maruti's Swift, Hyundai's i10 and i20 in the Indian market.
