Mitsubishi launching the RVR in India

Submitted by Akash Dhawan on Thu, 06/24/2010 - 15:18

After launching the latest version of Outlander in the Indian market just a few weeks back, Mitsubishi is also keen on bringing the compact SUV RVR in the Indian market. Often referred as the Baby Outlander in various markets that it operates in, the product if launched in India is expected to make a lot of noise in the mini SUV segment.

With companies like BMW and Skoda planning to launch X1 and Yeti respectively, coupled with the RVR, the mini SUV segment is expected to become a destination for many prospering automakers in the Indian market.

It is believed that if the product will be launched in the Indian market, the RVR will be assembled at the company's existing facility and will be priced in the range of Rs. 13-16 lakh.

While the spokesperson of the company was not available for comment but the recent media reports confirm the development. It may be noted here that the second-generation RVR was first released in the Japanese domestic market on February 17, 2010.

The fourth largest Japanese carmaker will also launch the latest version of Pajero soon in the Indian market.
