Mumbai fights with rains

Rains continue to drench Mumbai as the city recorded 210 mm of rainfall since yesterday, the Meteorological Department said. The weather department further added a receiving of 119.9 mm of rainfall in the suburbs. And as of now a total of 909.6 mm of rainfall has been recorded in June this year.
This data when compared to June 2009 the city received 265.9 mm, 735.5 mm in 2008, 803.3 mm in 2007, and 430.6 mm of rainfall in 2006. In the meantime the good news comes from the municipal corporation's Disaster Management Cell that claims of having no water logging reports in the city. However the Met continues to forecast of the heavy rainfall to be reported in some parts of the city with gusty winds.
