A pattern of growth in case of Swine Flu growth
Soon after the death of three women due to swine flu, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has sent a notification stating a significant spread in case of Virus, as 75 per cent patients who died due to the virus were in the high risk category.
KEM Hospital, Dean, Dr Sanjay Oak stated that although it has been seen that fever is not only the symptom in all H1N1 cases, other symptoms like joint pain, backache and others are a few points that confirm the presence of the flu.
It has further been stated that the virus now has neurological manifestations and we are studying these changes.
Adding further Oak said that the Virus appears to have mutated but there seems to be a considerate change in the antigenicity of the virus.
However, presently the nation is all geared with vaccines to tackle the same.
