The Chairman of the largest automaker in the domestic circuit, Maruti Suzuki has recently said that he hasn't received any proposal so far to announce the prices in the Indian market and the decision is yet to be taken.

Mayank Pareek, Managing Executive - Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki was recently quoted saying that the margins are under pressure and the company may look at hiking the price soon.

However, Bhargava has refused any such development saying that as the as the company was on a week long shutdown for maintenance that is the usual routine shutdown maintenance, the company still has look at the quarterly numbers and will take a call keeping in mind the magnitude of pressure on the margins.

Experts are favouring the fact that the company has had a very good first quarter for this fiscal and has grown by close to 20-25%.

Moreover, it has been said that the company has been able to maintain its market share in the Indian market which was earlier expected to fall keeping in mind the high competition in the small car segment.
