HBA announces cash reward for Saina

Haryana Badminton Association (HBA) has announced that it will provide a cash award for the badminton sensation Saina Nehwal. Saina will receive a cash reward of Rs 5 lakh.

The 20-year-old badminton player was born in Hisar, Haryana. Saina has managed to continue her excellent show in past couple of years. On Sunday she has won the Indonesia Open Badminton Super Series title. It was the third consecutive title for Saina. She has won India Open Grand Prix and the Singapore Open Super Series just before this victory.

The decision to reward the Haryana born girl was taken at an annual general body meeting of the association. After this meeting the president of the association Mr. Devinder Singh has announced this news.

Secretary of Jhajjar unit of the association, Manoj Sharma has said that Saina is brought proud for the state and the country. Manjeet Singh, the senior vice-president of the association has said that she has become inspiration for million of Indian girls. Saina is a role model for the youth of this country.
