Powerful comeback of Swine flu in Mumbai

Submitted by Harneet Mangat on Fri, 07/02/2010 - 07:42

Swine Flu has comeback in Mumbai in an intense form, making 15 more people as victims on June 30. It has been recorded that in the last one month total swine flu cases becomes 100 in number. Swine flu virus gets activated in monsoon so numbers of victims are increasing with the arrival of monsoon.

There is an immediate need to follow the swine flu guidelines that were issued by the health authorities. As there was a continuous increase in the number of deaths by swine flu in the month of June, it has resulted in increase demand for H1N1 vaccine. In last couple of days many doctors, nurses and staff members of hospitals have got themselves vaccinated.

The comeback of swine flu has encouraged various doctors to get themselves vaccinated who were earlier reluctant to get vaccinated. Around 2000 health professionals in Maharashtra have opted for the vaccine and the state has allegedly taken 34,300 doses of swine flu from the center in April.
