M&M auto grows by 20%
Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M Ltd.), a part of the US $7.1 billion Mahindra Group, recently said that the company has grown by 20% in the month of June 2010.
Notably, the company sold close to 27562 units in the month of June 2010, which is way up as compared to the 22999 units that the company was able to sell for the same period last year.
While the domestic sales of the company stood at 26243 units, as against 22526 units in June 2009, an increase of 16.5%, the exports segment has filed a growth of almost 180%. There is no denying of the fact that its LCV range has been an instant hit in the Indian market and is disturbing counterparts like Tata Motors a lot.
The 3W-Gio-Maxximo range of products have been doing very well in the market and has recently registered a phenomenal growth of 125% over same period last year.
Moreover, it is to be mentioned here that despite its annual shutdown in the first week of June, the company has been able to keep up the growth momentum. Its successful UV range has filed a rise of 11% in the last month.
